Audax Italiano
Audax Club Sportivo Italiano () is a Chilean football club based in La Florida. Founded in 1910, it plays in the Campeonato Nacional and has spent most of its history in the top tier of Chilean football. Audax has been national champions four times, joint sixth alongside Magallanes. The club also achieved three Copa Chile runner-up finishes in 1981, 1998 and 2018. The club had their first major success in 1936, when they won the league title. During the 1940s, Audax won two further titles in 1946 and 1948, and a fourth in 1957. History The club was founded by Italian residents in Santiago, on November 30, 1910, as Audax Club Ciclista Italiano in Alberto Caffi's hat store, and was originally focused on cycling. Estadio Bicentenario De La Florida
Estadio Bicentenario Municipal de La Florida is a multi-purpose stadium, located in La Florida, in eastern Santiago, Chile. It is the home stadium of Chilean football team Audax Italiano. The stadium was built in 1986 and rebuilt in 2008. The stadium also hosts a variety of events such as summer theatre festivals and music concerts, such as the KISS concert in early 2009. Faith No More performed at the stadium on October 30, 2009 as part of their The Second Coming Tour. The stadium has also been used for concerts by System of a Down, Primus, Rage Against the Machine, The Mars Volta, The Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Rammstein, and Dua Lipa among others. In 2007, La Florida was selected as a venue for the 2008 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. In order to comply with FIFA standards, the old stadium was torn down and a completely new venue was built. The Copa Apertura 1998 was the 27th edition of the Chilean Cup tournament. The competition started on February 14, 1998, and concluded on April 1, 1998. Copa CONMEBOL
The Copa CONMEBOL ( en, CONMEBOL Cup) was an annual football cup competition organized by CONMEBOL between 1992 and 1999 for South American football clubs. During its time of existence, it was a very prestigious South American club football contest, similar to the UEFA Cup. Clubs qualified for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions. Teams that were not able to qualify for the Copa Libertadores would play in this tournament. The tournament was played as a knockout cup. The tournament ended in 1999, following the expansion of the Copa Libertadores to 32 teams. The Copa Mercosur and Copa Merconorte, which both started in 1998, replaced the Copa CONMEBOL; both cups would later be merged in the current Copa Sudamericana. 2023 Copa Sudamericana
The 2023 Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana will be the 22nd edition of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana (also referred to as the ''Copa Sudamericana''), South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The winners of the 2023 Copa Sudamericana will earn the right to play against the winners of the 2023 Copa Libertadores in the 2024 Recopa Sudamericana. They will also automatically qualify for the 2024 Copa Libertadores group stage. Independiente del Valle are the titleholders, but since they qualified for the 2023 Copa Libertadores group stage as Copa Sudamericana champions, they will only be able to defend their title if they end in third place of their Copa Libertadores group. The 2020 Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana was the 19th edition of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana (also referred to as the ''Copa Sudamericana'', or pt, Copa Sul-Americana), South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. On 17 October 2019, CONMEBOL announced that the final would be played at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Córdoba, Argentina with the final originally scheduled to be played on 7 November 2020. The 2007 edition of the Copa Sudamericana was played by 34 teams; 30 teams from the CONMEBOL and 4 teams from the CONCACAF. CONMEBOL organized the tournament and invited three North American clubs which were the best three of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup 2007; the fourth North American club was the defending champion Pachuca. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition. Since its introduction, the competition has been a pure elimination tournament with the number of rounds and teams varying from year to year. The 2022 Copa CONMEBOL Libertadores was the 63rd edition of the CONMEBOL Libertadores (also referred to as the ''Copa Libertadores''), South America's premier club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL. The 2008 Copa Libertadores de América was the 49th edition of the Copa Libertadores, CONMEBOL's premier annual international club tournament. This marked the first year the competition was sponsored by Spanish bank Santander. As such, the competition is officially the 2008 Copa Santander Libertadores de América for sponsorship reasons.
